I would also add Trikala city, which is the most popular destination in Greece for December & Christmas, due to the renowned Christmas theme park & market (mill of elves) and has Meteora and other winter destinations (Elati, Pertouli ski center, Stone bridges of Pyli and Palaiokarya,Plastira lake etc.) nearby.
